Our Story
Founded by Karuna Williams, a lifelong herbalist, teacher, and regenerative visionary, the Academy was born from decades of devotion to the living intelligence of nature.
Karuna’s path began in the green temples of the garden, learning directly from plants as allies and teachers. Over the years, he built multimillion dollar plant based businesses, guided thousands through healing programs, and cultivated herbal sanctuaries where soil and spirit meet.
The Academy emerged from this living lineage, a bridge between ancient botanical wisdom and modern systems of consciousness. What began as a humble teaching garden in Hawai‘i has evolved into a global learning hub for those called to regenerate the Earth and themselves through awareness, practice, and community.

Japanese Mugwort Agricultural Workshop: Growing Techniques, Seed Propagation, and Traditional Uses
Learn to cultivate and work with Japanese mugwort (Artemisia princeps) — a highly valued herb in Traditional Chinese and Japanese Medicine — through a hands-on agricultural learning experience. Participants will study its growth habits, soil preferences, and propagation techniques while gaining awareness of its medicinal and cultural significance.
What You’ll Learn:
How to grow and maintain mugwort in Hawai‘i’s tropical climate using sustainable and containment friendly methods.
Techniques for seed propagation, soil preparation, and organic management to ensure healthy, vigorous plants.

This 4-hour agricultural class guides participants through the essential principles of creating a thriving herbal ecosystem. You’ll gain practical experience in regenerative farming and plant medicine cultivation, learning how to support biodiversity while producing high-quality herbs for wellness and value-added products.
Through field-based demonstrations and guided practice, participants will explore:
